Why there’s no Salman Khan in 'Shhuddhi'
It shook the industry when Salman Khanannounced on Twitter last week that he is no longer acting in Shhuddhi. Karan Joharfollowed that tweet with the announcement that Varun Dhawan andAlia Bhatt were the film’s lead pair. There is silence from both sides as to why Salman Khan, who was super excited about working on the project, opted out.
This decision was taken months ago, but was made public only now. Although Salman had made up his mind a while ago, he maintained silence till KJo had his cast in place. That was the understanding between them. A certain section of the industry is abuzz with news that the actor was offended that Karan was part of the AIB’s live show — The Roast, where jokes were made about his younger sister Arpita and he decided to walk out of the film.
Another rumour doing the rounds is that Shuddhi required bulk dates from the actor, to the tune of 180 days, which the actor was not willing to commit to, so he and Karan parted ways amicably. “When Hrithik and Kareena were doing the film, they had given 200 days each for the project. Salman felt he could finish three films in those many days and so he reconsidered being part of the film,” an insider adds.
Whatever the real reason, Salman had decided very early on that he wouldn’t be a part of the film. But after multiple cast changes and delays, he was kind enough to wait until Karan found his new actors.

The IPL-8 opening ceremony will see performances by Hrithik Roshan, Anushka Sharma andShahid Kapoor at the Salt Lake Stadium. Alas, rain and thundershower are expected to dampen the celebratory mood at the opening. But not for Hrithik. He says come rain or storm, he’s gonna dance.
“Rain threatens to stop the event tomorrow night. I told them to keep the cameras on, cause come rain or storm, I gonna dance. #hrx,” Hrithik Roshan tweeted and posted a photo of himself dancing.
The performance is going to be special for Hrithik because he had performed at the same venue 15 years back.

Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt to share steamy scenes in Kapoor and Sons?
Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Could this casting coup BE any more happening? Ever since Karan Johar has announced the star cast of his next film Kapoor and Sons, hundreds have gone gaga over the fact that these three actors will be seen sharing screen space. The venture is said to a family drama, being directed by Shakun Batra, where Alia and Sid will be playing brother- sister (LOL) and Mr Khan will play Alia’s ladylove.
As we all know, Fawad has never really been seen in intimate, steamy scenes in any of his ventures. Be it his TV shows Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar or Bollywood debut Khoobsurat, the actor has refrained from getting physical with his co-star on-screen as he believes a chemistry between two lovers can be hinted at subtly rather than being performed physically. So is he breaking the norm for this one? Well apparently not folks. We hear that Alia and Fawad will have no steamy scenes in teh film.

Even in his TV shows, Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which are romantic family dramas, there’s no kissing or touching involved. The sex is implied. Fawad is extremely sensitive to the sensibilities of his conservative countrymen and has told Shakun and Karan to water down the scene, to rely on allusion rather than actual action. And during his next visit to Mumbai they will sit down and work together on the scene to ensure that it does not spark off any controversy later”.

But this time around, Aamir is taking a major risk with his health for yet another successful film. Well, at least that’s what our health expert Arnav Sarkar, Owner, Sarkar Training thinks. Arnav has been involved in the fitness industry for many years now. He has worked with quite a few athletes and beauty pageant contestants till now. Excerpts from the interview:
Is it safe to gain or loose weight drastically in short span of time?
No! The body needs time to adjust to any weight gain or loss, and hastening this can lead to health problems.
How many kilos (maximum) can one gain in a span of three months? Is it possible without steroids? Or is this all due to heavy intake of protein?
It would depend on the current build of the individual. A tall guy is likely to gain more weight than a shorter guy. If a person is starting training and eating right for the very first time, then maybe upto 3-4 kilos would be possible in a safe manner without putting on too much of body fat. This much can be expected without steroids, but massive gains like 10 kilos or more would indicate the use of steroids.
What are the risks of taking steroids?
Many! Starting from less dangerous problems like skin problems, it can also cause more severe ones like high blood pressure, impotence, heart attacks, and even death. Steroids are simply not to be played around with.
What are the after effects of drastic weight gain and loss?
Drastic weight loss is often associated with muscle loss and weakness. Dizziness, fainting, excess cravings, mood swings are all commonly seen in people who lose weight drastically due to severely low food intake. Also, such cases also usually end up gaining the weight back quickly as they have not developed habits that are sustainable.
On the other hand, drastic weight gain is often associated with increased body fat levels and might also make one feel lethargic carrying the rapidly gained weight.
Your take on Aamir Khan’s weight gain and loss for various roles
Aamir is a professional actor who earns crores for each role he does. In his case the risks associated with such drastic weight gain and loss is somewhat justified considering the amount of money at stake. I wish it could be different and done in a safer manner, but realistically its just too much money to not take a chance for. However, it makes no sense for the regular man or woman who does not have crores to gain/lose based on how they look to take such chances. You can get great results with proper training, nutrition and rest by investing a little more time. Your body, health and general sense of well being will thank you for it.
Clearly, it seems that with such high stakes riding on him, this is a gamble even Khan cannot avoid.

Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi’s Hamari Adhuri Kahani trailer to be unveiled with Mr X!
Actor Emraan Hashmi has wrapped up his film Hamari Adhuri Kahani and says its trailer will be unveiled alongside the release of his other film Mr. X on April 17. ”Hamari Adhuri Kahani is complete, edit is finished and it will release on June 12. It’s trailer will be unveiled with the release of Mr. X on April 17,” said the actor.
The 36-year-old is excited about this romantic drama. ”So far I have not explored the romantic, intense and mature space, so I am looking forward to it,” he said about his role in the film, which is directed by Mohit Suri and stars Vidya Balan as the female lead.
Apparently, Vidya is playing the role of a woman trapped in a loveless marriage, while Emraan plays her love interest. Rajkummar Rao also features in the film and he portrays Vidya’s husband.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who had shot for reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi in South Africa, has reportedly decided to hire the local South African team, which had worked on the show, for his upcoming film Dilwale's South African schedule.
Yes, you read it right! Shetty, who is known for mostly shooting his films in India, will be heading to South Africa to shoot some action scenes for his upcoming film Dilwale, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol among others. There are three to four action scenes to be shot in South Africa and Shetty will brief the local team about the stunts well in advance so that they can prepare and plan before the Dilwale team reaches there.

Hello and welcome. India is the most depressed country in the world according to the world health organisation. At 36% this is highest rate of depression anywhere on the globe. We also have the highest suicide rate of any country in the world. Over 1 lakh people on an average kill themselves in India every year and these are the only reported figures of depression and suicide. Yet, despite these statistics there continues to be absolutely an unneeded stigma a sense of embarrassment when it comes to talking about depression or mental health. There is also a sense of denial, people look at the mental health in a way that they do not look at the physical health, almost as if it is to suggest that it in the control of the person impacted about the person to do something about it. Today, on this programme we want breakthrough the shroud of the silence that has enveloped the conversation around depression and mental health. And somebody who has helped us to do that very very bravely was Deepika Padukone when she went public with her own struggles with depression, her own battle of depression and today on this programme talking on television about this battle for the very first time in the hope that others may also draw some help from it. We are joined by Deepika herself , we are also joined by her mother Ujjala Padukone and the two doctors who talked Deepika through, helped her through this and also here to talk about how the other people who are battling this may actually derive help. If you are Katrina Kaif, you obviously expect someone else to shut your door once you sit in a car. Recently, while shooting for Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor in Delhi, there was a scene that required Katrina to drive a convertible. The camera was in front of her car and she sat in the car and started driving it without realising that the door was left open.

In this hilarious scene, he tries his best to trick the police inspector into sending the somewhat slow Prem behind bars.
3. If you've seen Andaz Apna Apna, you probably *heart* it. If you haven't, please get off the web because you're not allowed to use it anymore due to your lack of taste.

The dhaba scene is one of the many times when DJ gave us something to laugh about. His interaction with his loud, angry Punjabi mother and his flirting with the 'gori' is a rib-tickler.

Earlier today we told you how Yeh Hai Mohabbatein‘s Karan Patel has broken up with Kamya Punjabi to marry Ankita Bhargava, who was dating Aman Varma earlier. Actor-producer John Abraham has expressed a desire to make a film on boxing and cast former world champion David Haye, with whom he has collaborated for a flagship fitness-cum-boxing centre. Ranbir Kapoor, reportedly, will be seen boxing as a street fighter in Bombay Velvet. Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra are playing boxers in Brothers and now, it can be revealed that Salman Khan, too, will play one in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan.
A source reveals, “In Sultan, Salman plays the title role of a 40-year-old boxer. It’d require a huge amount of preparation. Salman would have to change his entire physique and body language. It’d entail many months of a strict exercise regime and a new diet control so he can acquire a boxer’s body. With his heavy commitments, Salman is not sure how he will be able to give Sultan the time, attention and single-minded focus it requires.”
Akshay already has a boxer’s physique. But Salman is committed to finish Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He can’t afford to shed his current look. How he will manage to make time and the body for this role is something that the actor has to figure out.

When asked what’s so special about Dabangg Khan, the leggy beauty said, “Salman Khan is touched by God. No doubt he’s a star but when you meet him you can’t but notice his charisma, his aura, his style… He’s also a fine human being. That’s what translates onscreen. The audience can never be fooled and you can see it in his eyes. That’s why people love him so much.”
While Sonam seems to be in awe of SK, the babe has also learnt few things from the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor. Sonam revealed,”I’ve learnt to think before I speak because he keeps saying, ‘Sonam think before you say anything.’ And to calmly observe the world go by before reacting because I have a tendency to react instantly. Now I assess the situation and then react. He does that too. He’s as cool as cucumber. Also, he’s an easy co-star to work with.”

Revealed: Shah Rukh Khan And Rohit Shetty’s Film Title
According to latest reports, Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan have locked the name for their upcoming film. Yes, reportedly, their next much awaited project will be titled ‘Dilwale’.
I had a conversation with the makers of the film and I have no problem in giving them the title,” Director and producer Harry Baweja was quoted saying.
Audiences are not only curious to know the name of the film, but are also curious to know who will star next to Shah Rukh Khan in the film. A lot of reports suggested a lot of things, and a lot of names, too. Finally, at a recent press conference, SRK asked his fans to wait for just 10 more days, as all the questions relating to his upcoming project with Rohit Shetty will be answered, as the final cast of the film will be officially announced then.

Their bonding has helped add to the chemistry between their characters. Director Amit Khanna reveals that besides the fact that they look good together, they also share a perfect screen chemistry. It is also suggested that these two would look out for each other on the set.
The director says, "Suzanna would always wait for Sid to finish his shots so they could leave together. Likewise, he'd always ask her about his styling and his shots."
